Runic Tools
Crafting an item using a runic work tool will result in the addition of magical properties to the item itself. The Tailor and Blacksmith runic tools can be obtained by completing certain Bulk Order Deeds. The Bowcraft/Fletching and Carpentry runics can be obtained by completing the respective crafting-related quests offered by elves in the city of Heartwood. Masonry runics, on the other hand, can be obtained by completing Imbuing quests at the soulforge in the city of Royal City, on Ter-Mur.
The number of charges, the amount of magical properties added, and their intensity depend on the material of the runic tool used.
All Runic Tools can be used, in addition to the classic Craft Runic Tools, also as crafting tools through Runic Reforging. Items resulting from crafting with either method can be modified through the Imbuing skill, provided they do not exceed the maximum of 5 properties.

Example: crafting a Verite Ring Mail Tunic using an Agapite Runic Hammer
First, you must create the piece of ringmail using Verite ingots. Instead of a common hammer, however, we use an Agapite Runic Hammer. We will obtain a piece with the following resistances: 6% physical, 6% fire, 3% cold, 8% poison, and 4% energy.
Now, since we used a runic tool to craft the item, additional magical properties will be added to it.
An Agapite Runic Hammer will attempt to add 4 magical properties to each weapon or armor piece crafted with this tool. Therefore, our Verite piece will gain 4 magical properties in addition to the bonuses on its base resistances.
The system first determines a random property from the list of properties that can be applied to an armor piece: let’s assume this is Luck (a property that adds to the player’s total Luck when the item is worn, increasing the chance to find magical items in monster loot).
The Luck property for a single item can range from 1 to 100: this means that each armor piece with Luck can add from 1 to 100 Luck points when the item is worn. Normally, when applying this property, the amount of Luck added will be a random number between 1 and 100.
However, since we have used an Agapite Runic Hammer, each property added to the item will have an intensity ranging from 65% to 100%.
The remaining three magical properties are added by the runic hammer in exactly the same way, all with a minimum and maximum intensity determined by the fact that we used an Agapite Runic Hammer.
The types of magical properties that can be added are the same as those found in monster loot. You can find the description of these properties in a previous section.
