Reagents: Ginseng
As a magical reagent, ginseng focuses its power on health and improvement. Its bitter taste, however, disguises its truly restorative nature. Before it can be used in magical rites, the plant’s root must be boiled in clean water, cooled, and re-boiled in fresh water no fewer than forty times. After the final boiling it becomes a heavy, very pungent syrup.
Alchemical Uses
Ginseng potions magically heal a person’s wounds. A Lesser Heal potion can be created by anyone using a single ginseng. An average alchemist can brew a stronger version using three ginseng, while a more skilled alchemist can create the most powerful Heal potion using seven ginseng roots.
