Seventh Circle

Seventh Circle Reagents Duration (seconds) Effect
Chain Lightning BP, BM, MR, SA Single use Damages enemies within 2 tiles of the target with a series of lightning bolts. Base damage: 51 + 1-5. Energy resist reduces the damage.
Energy Field BM, MR, SS, SA (15 + Magery / 2.5) / 7 (up to 36.4s) Raises an impassable wall of energy on the ground.
Flamestrike SS, SA Single use Damages the target with a column of fire. Base damage: 48 + 1-5. Fire resist reduces the damage.
Gate Travel BP, MR, SA 30 seconds Works only on marked runes or a runebook’s default destination. Creates a portal linked to where the rune was marked. The gate can be used by anyone while it remains.
Mana Vampire BP, BM, MR, SS Single use Mana Vampire drains (Eval - Resist) mana points from the target and transfers them to the caster. It cannot drain more than the victim has, nor raise the caster above their cap. The effect is halved against creatures.
Mana transferred = Eval - Resist
Mass Dispel BP, Ga, MR, SA Single use Dispels every summoned creature within 8 tiles.
Meteor Swarm BM, MR, SA, SS Single use Damages all enemies within 2 tiles of the target. Base damage: 51 + 1-5. Fire resist reduces the damage.
Polymorph BM, MR, SS Magery (up to 120s) Changes the caster’s physical appearance into a creature of choice (does not change stats or skills). Be careful not to turn gray and become a valid target while polymorphed.


All Seventh Circle spells cost 40 mana and have a 2.00-second delay.

To cast Seventh Circle spells you need a spellbook, the appropriate reagents, and a substantial amount of Magery skill.

Chain Lightning

Tip: Useful against tight packs of low-level creatures. Also effective on early-wave creatures in a Champion Spawn (a.k.a. “Evil in a Can”).

Be careful with area spells in Felucca: a murderer (red player) or criminal (gray player) could exploit the spell to give you the criminal flag (you’ll appear gray to them), allowing them to kill you without raising their kill count.

Incantation: Vas Ort Grav


Energy Field
Tip: Similar to Wall of Stone but with much longer duration. Great for blocking a choke so additional attackers can’t reach you, or to lock down a creature’s escape route.
Required reagents: Black Pearl, Mandrake Root, Spider's Silk, Sulphurous Ash
Incantation: In Sanct Grav


Flamestrike
Tip: The strongest single-target damage spell of the Seventh Circle. Excellent as a finisher or paired with Explosion. It hits hard, but due to high casting time and mana cost it isn’t always the right choice.
Required reagents: Spider's Silk, Sulphurous Ash
Incantation: Kal Vas Flam


Gate Travel
Tip: Great for moving a group of people (or pets) between two places. Handy to pull a pack animal out of danger, or to gate a party in for an assault. Note: Gate Travel may be restricted in some dangerous, magic-protected regions (dungeons, Ilshenar, Wind, the Lost Lands of Felucca, etc.).

Incantation: Vas Rel Por


Mana Vampire
Tip: Lets the mage drain an opponent’s entire mana pool. Your mana is filled while the victim is left empty. If you suspect your target has low Resist, you can shut down special moves or spellcasting with this spell. The best defense is Magic Resistance.
Required reagents: Black Pearl, Blood Moss, Mandrake Root, Spider's Silk
Incantation: Ort Sanct


Mass Dispel
Tip: Useful when you’ve spawned a large number of Blade Spirits or Energy Vortexes that you need to remove before they turn on you or your friends.
Required reagents: Black Pearl, Garlic, Mandrake Root, Sulphurous Ash
Incantation: Vas An Ort

Tip: Good versus compact groups of low-level creatures. Also handy on early waves in a Champion Spawn.

Polymorph
Tip: Available forms include: Black Bear, Grizzly Bear, Polar Bear, Chicken, Daemon, Dog, Ettin, Gargoyle, Gorilla, Human Male or Female, Lizard Man, Ogre, Orc, Panther, Slime, Troll, or Wolf.

Be careful not to turn gray and become a valid target while polymorphed. Also beware of attacking talking chickens named SirPeekay in Felucca—they might fight back.
